Our Design Process
We follow a conscious design process, moving from the first idea, feasibility and concept development to construction and its administration. Each stage has defined priorities and deliverables, and we advance step by step without skipping what is essential.
Feasibility & Concept Design
We begin with master planning, land studies, and conservation strategies to understand the potential of the site. This phase includes scope, feasibility, budget and concept development where we explore design possibilities in dialogue with place and client needs.
Schematic Design
We develop a preliminary design concept that captures the essence of the project. This includes key spaces, materials, and overall form to guide the design direction.
Design Development
We refine the design, develop detailed plans, sections, elevations, BIM modelling leading to the data integration of structural, environmental, and material considerations. This phase ensures the design is both visionary and buildable.
Construction Documents
We prepare and submit council drawings, coordinate comprehensive construction documents, and ensure local authority compliance both in metric and imperial systems. We ensure technical detailing that considers the vision with clarity and precision.
Bidding & Negotiation
We review bids from contractors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the project is built within the budget and timeline.
Construction Administration
Throughout construction, we oversee the process, issue occupation certificate, ensure value of works reflected onsite, and ensure design integrity, quality, and alignment with sustainable practices. We work closely with contractors and consultants to bring the project to life.
